Dental Implants in Littleton, CO

Dental implants are a reliable and permanent option for replacing missing teeth. Implants provide a stable foundation for replacement teeth, known as crowns, as well as for bridges or dentures. Receiving an implant can take several months, but the results can last a lifetime.

At Rocky View Family Dental, the titanium implant post is placed into the jawbone to replace the missing tooth root. Once healed, a crown is attached to the post to replace the visible portion of the tooth and restore full functionality. While implants are typically more expensive than other treatment options, they are often the most desirable solution because they look and feel natural while offering more long-term benefits.

The Dental Implant Procedure

The dental implant process begins with an initial consultation with our dentist to determine your candidacy for dental implants and the best treatment plan for your needs. If you are a candidate for implants, the dentist will plan your tooth replacement treatment with you, including the length and number of appointments you will need to complete the process.

Dental implants are titanium posts that replace the roots of missing teeth. They are surgically implanted into the jawbone and restored with crowns or dentures.

During the first phase of the implant procedure, the post is surgically placed into the jawbone. Your bone then grows around or fuses with the surface of the post during the healing process. This process can take three to six months to complete.

After this time, you will return to our office to have your abutment placed. An abutment is a small metal piece affixed to the top of the dental implant during the healing phase to support restorations like dental crowns. Once healed, your custom restoration will be attached to the implant by our dentist.
